U.N. Drug Control Programme

At very short notice we were asked to go to Afghanistan by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, Kabul to undertake a Terminal Evaluation Mission for their Project “Capacity Building for Drug Control: Strengthening of the CND and Six Provincial Offices.”. Working closely with the Head and Deputy Head of Mission in Kabul we carried out a review of the project operations and history and carried out in-depth interviews with project staff to assess the achievements of the projects against its original aims, objectives and targets. We also assessed the projects outcomes and its sustainability given particular note of the lessons that had been learnt for future best practice in the field of capacity building and mainstreaming drug control and sustainable development.
